William Jopling launched his first company, Wood flooring international, in 1998. He aimed to produce impeccably milled engineered wood flooring in exotic species when most wood floorings were solid site finished oak. William Jopling is known to have discovered and introduced many unique species in the US market. He would travel the world to collect material, and he helped build flooring mills worldwide. He also developed most of the manufacturing processes used today, including square edge and end milling. Unfortunately, seven years after the launch of Tesoro woods, William Jopling passed away.
A year after his death, some of the employees decided to bring Tesoro Woods back to life, with the support of William Jopling's friend and partner, Andy Gallo. Tesoro is now a part of the green residential flooring market. Tesoro Woods is committed to offering their customers FSC certified, recycled, and reclaimed hardwood flooring products using healthy and eco-friendly adhesives to the residential flooring market.
